ABOUT FAITH AND FLOW YOGA
Faith & Flow Yoga is an intentional practice that addresses total wellness: Mental, Spiritual, and Physical by connecting our entire being, mind, body, and spirit with God. The principles of Surrender, Transformation and Discipline are applied during Christian meditation, focused breathing, and movement which is used to build our faith, nourish our soul, and heal our bodies. Faith & Flow Yoga sets God as the intention and yoga is used as the tool to help us to reconnect our entire mind, body, and spirit with God who is the source of wellness inside and out. No matter where you are on your wellness journey, Faith & Flow Yoga allows you to progress at your own pace using the guiding principles of:
Through the breath we are able to release and let go because the breath of "God's spirit" flows through us. Once we surrender body, soul, and spirit, then transformation may begin. We must detox our thoughts by stopping the negative self-talk and allow the truth to affect our actions and our bodies. The transformation process is integral to our physical and spiritual growth and development. Transformation is constant, but once the mind and body are transformed we must continuously renew our mind and body and that takes discipline. When life happens we must hold onto our faith and persevere. Discipline teaches us to be intentional in renewing our mind and body so we are prepared to handle the physical and spiritual challenges that life brings. Ultimately, there is great peace in cultivating an environment that allows physical and spiritual development to flow together.
SHERELL MOORE-TUCKER is a best-selling Author, Speaker, and certified Natural Health Consultant. She created Faith & Flow Yoga which is a faith-based program that emphasizes divine wellness. By tending to the body, soul, and spirit, she encourages others to experience divine wellness with the understanding that everything we do, think, feel, and believe has an impact on our health. Sherrell uses Christian meditation, focused breathing, and movement to facilitate a full-body worship experience which aids in health and healing in the body. She also uses the biblical principles of surrender, transformation and discipline to build faith, nourish souls, and heal bodies through Christ.
Sherrell routinely provides wellness classes and workshops to various women’s groups and community-based health initiatives. In addition, she has worked with businesses, non-profit organizations and churches such as Anne Arundel Medical Center, Prince George’s County School System, Kaiser Permanente, The Arc, PTS Rehab Works, Sherial L. Randall Breast Health Ambassadors, First Baptist Church of Glenarden, The Balm in Gilead, Dr. Celeste Owens Ministries, Faith Fellowship Church of Jesus Christ, and Grace Covenant Church.
She is registered with the National Yoga Alliance, Holy Yoga Ministries, and is a Certified Group Fitness Instructor through the Aerobics & Fitness Association of America (AFAA). Her background consists of studies in Christian mediation, Pilates, and modern dance.
Sherrell is the best-selling author of Transparent Faith: Lessons learned from the plan of faith, the creator of the DVD, Surrender: Body, Breath and Spirit and the CD, Faith & Soul Meditations, Vol 1.
