Meditating from the Heart - Are you interested in exploring biblical meditation and learning how the practice can deepen your faith? If so, you are invited and encouraged to join us as we explore meditation through the scriptures as an embodied and heart-centered practice.

Through prayer/meditation, journaling, sound, silence, movement, and stillness, participants will have the opportunity to engage in spiritual practices designed to support physical, mental, and spiritual health and well-being.

MindBody FAITH Wellness Retreat

I will be partnering with Bon Secours Retreat & Conference Center for Christian wellness retreat.

MindBody FAITH Wellness Retreat - Has stress gotten the best of you?  Do you feel burned out and disconnected?  If so, you are invited to join us for a weekend designed to help you unplug and reconnect with God.

Through group discussion, meditation, prayer, worship, mindful movement, and journaling, we will learn how to cultivate spiritual and wellness practices that support our physical, mental, and spiritual well-being. We will spend the weekend exploring what true health and wellness looks like from a biblical point of view.

Please bring a pen, notepad/journal, yoga mat, small pillow, and blanket for use during the retreat.

Check-in begins at 4pm. There will be a brief welcome session at 5:30pm, followed by dinner at 6pm. The retreat begins after dinner at 7pm on Friday and concludes before lunch on Sunday.

Mass will be celebrated in the Chapel on Sunday morning for those who would like to attend. Guided by Sherrell Moore-Tucker.

Mini Fall Yoga & Meditation Retreat

I will be partnering with Bon Secours Retreat & Conference Center for a Mini Fall Yoga & Meditation retreat.

During this mini-retreat, we will consider how mindfulness can serve as a simple tool for stress management and resilience. We will learn about expressive writing, mindful movement, meditation, and sound & silence exercises, exploring them through an embodied experience. This retreat experience is designed to support your physical, mental, and spiritual health and well-being.

Yoga with Sherrell (5-week series)

All are invited to register for the five-week yoga series with yours truly at the Bowie Community Center.

Learn basic yoga to improve health and flexibility through deep breathing and controlled stretching. Reduce stress, get better sleep, and build muscle stamina as you practice new or previously learned yoga skills.

This gentle mat class uses a combination of Yoga, Pilates, breath work, and mobility exercises. Students will be able to release tension in the body, improve mental clarity, and increase range of motion while using their body weight to build strength.

The Power of the Breath - The season of Lent offers us an opportunity to pause and let our spirits breathe. It's a time of remembrance, self-examination, and renewal as we reflect on the life of Jesus. During this one-day mini-retreat, we will discuss the power of the breath and how the breath of life is made alive in us physically and spiritually. Through Adam humanity took its first breath and through Jesus humanity is saved by his last breath. We will explore the breath of life through scriptures, journaling, personal quiet time/reflection, meditation, and gentle mindful movement. This retreat experience is designed to support your physical, mental, and spiritual health and well-being.
